CMHS Women Soccor honored for SPC conference title
The 2011 Women's Soccer team was honored at halftime of the Sept 9th football game for their SPC conference title (first in school history) and presented their championship banner. The team went 19-4-1 overall and an amazing 13-1-0 in conference play.
Several of the ladies also made the Charlotte Observer's All-Cabarrus News girls' soccer team, including:
- Denay Hayden (Forward) Chargers' top offensive weapon will again be one SPC's best next year.
- Logan Long (Midfielder) SPC Player of the Year as only a sophomore has a big-time future.
- Kaylee Akers (Midfielder) Talented midfielder is one of Chargers' top playmakers and goal-scorers.
- Mollie Calloway (Defender) Shutdown defender was also a big part of Cox Mill success.
- Christine Fail (Defender) Senior teamed up with sister Katie and Mollie Calloway to make life difficult for opponents.
