2010-11 Membership Drive

Good afternoon!  Our first year has - very quickly, I might add - come and gone.  June's arrival means that the school year is nearly complete, but it's just the start for those of us at the athletic booster club.  Opening day for 2010-11 is just 2 1/2 months away, as is our biggest fundraiser - our annual golf tournament.  We're busily preparing for everything that goes into planning for these events, and appreciate the help and support of our members.

Speaking of support...June 1st begins our new membership year.  Your $30 membership fee funds most of the operating needs of the club, such as hosting this website and much more.  At a time when many school districts are asking parents to pay hundreds of dollars just to allow their children to participate in athletics, $30 isn't much!  Please go to the "Membership" tab right away to download your 2010-11 membership form, complete it, and send it to us at the address listed.  You can pay by check, or, if you'd prefer, click on the "PayPal" icon to pay electronically (by credit card, debit card, or PayPal).

Thanks to all of you for a very memorable inaugural season at Cox Mill High School.  Go Chargers!

Best,

Tom

Announcing the Cox Mill Brick Campaign!

Friends of Cox Mill,

We have exciting news about our brick campaign, or "Chargers Pride Path."  We’ve completed our administrative reviews and our Brick Fundraiser has been approved.

For those that may not have been at the meetings when we discussed this effort, our brick campaign will be an ongoing initiative that provides a unique way to recognize members of our Cox Mill family as well as raise funds needed for capital improvement and fund a scholarship for CMHS student-athletes.  What’s in it for you?  A unique way to recognize and commemorate your Charger with a customized engraved brick which will be on permanent display in a Pride Path inside Chargers Stadium across from the home concession stand.  We will do our orders and path build in phases.  Our first installation is targeted for early June, so our first order will cutoff April 30th.  For our first order, we will offer a discount of 20% off a standard brick price on all orders received by April 30th.  I’ve also attached a flyer that gives a little more background and you can pass it along to your contacts to help spread the word as well.

We are now accepting orders, so you can go to our booster club website and link to our online ordering or simply click on the link below.

We appreciate your support of the Booster Club and our Cox Mill student-athletes; together, we’re making a real difference and your support of the brick campaign will help insure our ongoing success.

Thanks,

Dean Kirby
